Antique style Googly Doll kits for sale. By The Little Hamptons

I have been working on putting together some new doll kits for making an antique style Googly Doll.

I am happy to offer our latest kit for sale, consisting of an unpainted composition face and PDF files for the pattern for the cloth jointed body, mohair fabric wig, dress and bloomers and 26 pages of instructions and pictures.
She is based on the early Einco googlies, with those big eyes and mohair wig. The 4th picture shows the face unpainted and partly painted. Note that the eyes are part of the mold.
This particular Googly doll will have the appearance of an aged doll and I give painting and aging instructions to replicate this look. You can see the final paint finish in the 3rd picture. It looks just like old paint.
We have made the Googly faces from composition which involves quite a few processes to achieve the look we were looking for. You will need to paint the face and attach to the cloth doll with a few stitches through the holes at the side edges. Very easy to do.
Upon purchase in my Etsy shop you can download the comprehensive pattern, instructions and pictures for you to print and I will then post the head to you FREE POSTAGE worldwide.
You can contact me via the email link on the right hand side of this page if you have any questions or would like to purchase directly from me. If you prefer you may purchase the kit from my online Etsy shop.

Antique style Googly doll by The Little Hamptons

I've been busy making a new line of Googly dolls based on early antiques, in particular the Einco dolls that had a composition face.  I just love the look of these early Googlies. The dolls are 14 1/2" tall, made from cloth with a paper clay face. I have carefully painted and aged the faces. Their eyes in the mold so are also paper clay and not glass. I make their hair with mohair fabric which is glued and sewn in place. The buuny doll has an outfit made from wool batting, including the head covering and ears.  They are entirely stuffed with cotton and the arms and legs are jointed with disks and split pins. The dolls are signed on the back of the body and come with a signed and dated swing tag. You can contact me via the email link on the right hand side of the page if you would like to buy any of the dolls or you can purchase from my Etsy shop.
They are for sale in my online Etsy shop:

Izannah Walker reproduction of the antique doll "Hannah" by The Little Hamptons

I've just finished my latest 19" Izannah Walker doll. She has a composition  head and shoulders that I made using the mold taken from the original antique Izannah Walker doll named Hannah. I carefully paint and give these dolls a nice antique look. The bodies are made from cotton fabric and stuffed as the originals were, with cotton stuffing.  I have also painted and aged the arms and legs, to look just like their antique sisters.
These reproductions show the detail of the original antiques.

She is just over 19" tall and dressed in a pretty outfit that I have machine and hand sewn from vintage and antique clothing and fabric. All the clothing is removable and has hand sewn button/buttonhole or loop fastenings.

She has a very authentic slightly aged look. I have painted the ringlets both at the back and the sides for a typical Izannah look. She has nice brown eyes and a soft, pale pink lip and cheek colour.

She has a  chemise, undies and petticoat, hat and capelet all made mostly from antique garments and  fabrics.  Her dress is actually 2 pieces, being a skirt and a top. The outfit is a copy of an antique dress from the 1800s. The fabric used is 1800s vintage and is just beautiful. I have made her poke bonnet in a method often used, with two layers of fabric having some batting in between for a nice padded look.
I have painted her boots directly onto her feet.

She is signed and dated on the back of her shoulder plate and she has signed and dated swing tags.

"Hannah" is for sale in my online  Etsy shop where you can purchase her with Paypal straight away, or you can contact me here if you'd like to buy her or have any questions, using my email link on the right hand side of this page.

Izannah Walker Reproduction dolls, Patience and Hannah by The Little Hamptons

I've just completed 2 more dolls. A nice brown skinned Patience, with slightly less wear than her sisters and a Hannah Doll. Patience is wearing a nice red frock and a bonnet and a sweetheart apron, all in antique fabrics. I have given Hannah a pretty pink dress  and white apron as well as a straw poke bonnet.

I still have a few 18 "to 19 1/2"Izzy dolls for sale and some kits for the smaller Izannahs in my Etsy shop.

This is how you receive the doll heads in the kits. They are expertly made from liquid doll composition, which is poured into the doll molds, dried and baked and then given a light spray of Gesso, ready for painting. The pattern for the doll body and underwear is in a PDF file  for you to print out.
