The Little Hamptons a reproduction of Eliza, an antique Izannah Walker doll. by Lynda Hampton

This sweet old fashioned doll is made from the "Eliza" mold taken from an antique Izannah Walker doll of the mid 1800s. The Izannah Walker dolls are very rare and perhaps the next best thing is one of my reproductions.
These composition head reproductions show the detail of the original antiques. I carefully paint and give these dolls a nice old look, taking a lot of care to capture the look of an antique Izzy. The bodies are made from cotton fabric and stuffed as the originals were, with cotton stuffing. The arms and legs are painted with an aged look.
She is 19" tall and wearing a very pretty outfit that I made from antique cotton fabric and clothing. She has a dress, chemise, bloomers and petticoat which all have button fastenings.
I have also made her a nice apron from antique clothing with beautiful hand worked lace edging.
I painted her lace up boots directly onto her feet.

She is signed and dated on the back of her shoulder plate just under her second skin and she has signed and dated swing tags.

You can contact me using the email link on the right hand side of this page if you have any questions. She is also listed in my online etsy shop.  She has now found a home.
