The Little Hamptons, "Patience", an antique reproduction of an Izannah Walker doll.

After a few weeks break from doll making I have just finished making a  "Patience" doll. She is an 18" reproduction Izannah Walker doll, and is made from the mold taken from the original antique Izannah Walker doll, from the 1800s, named Patience. She has a composition head and shoulders. I carefully paint and give these dolls a nice antique look. The bodies are made from cotton fabric and stuffed as the originals were, with cotton stuffing. I have also painted and aged the arms and legs, to look just like their antique sisters.

These reproductions show the detail of the original antiques.

She's 18" tall and dressed in a pretty dress and apron that I have machine and hand sewn from antique cotton clothing and fabric. The underwear is made from a new, but aged, fine cotton voile with antique lace trim. The clothing is removable and has hand sewn button/buttonhole or loop fastenings. The apron has ties at the back and is pinned to the inside of the dress at the top front with tiny gold pins.

She has a slightly aged look. I have given her a short at the back hair style, with side ringlets.

She has a second skin, chemise, undies, petticoat, dress and apron.
I have painted her lace up boots directly onto her feet.

She is signed and dated on the back of her shoulder plate and she has signed and dated swing tags.

She is for sale in my online Etsy shop. Here is the link.

Hampton Bears, Acorn. 17" antique style teddy bear.

Acorn is finished and now  looking for a home. I have given him a very aged appearance to look like a well loved antique bear. He is made from German mohair in a nice old gold shade, fully stuffed with wood wool, felt paw pads and aged black glass eyes. He is fully jointed.
I have stuffed him lightly at the tops of his arms, legs and body for a slightly saggy bear feel. The rest of him is stuffed more firmly. I have plucked, trimmed and shaded him...poor little bear.

You can contact me by going to the email link on the right hand side of this page or purchase him directly from my Etsy shop.

I'm all packed and ready to go.

 Maybe you'll like my profile.

I'm trying to imagine my new home...I'm sure it will be very cozy.

Probably lots of friends to play with.

Maybe they will be coming from the other direction.

I am still smiling..I know my new family will be here soon.

Feeling a bit sleepy.

 Leticia assures me..not long now.

 I'll just have a lay down for a while.zzzzzz
